OUR HISTORY

The founders of Gremac Maintenance, Masio Saunders and Alexis Saunders, first started doing cleaning & maintenance work in their teenage years in the late 80’s and early 90’s, when they worked contracts with their father for his company. Their first contract was snow removal and cleaning services at the famous Gooderham Building, also known as one of the first Flatiron buildings in the world.

After attending college, and after their father moved on to other ventures, they realized a void of reliable, professional cleaning & maintenance companies in the GTA. They found that there were a arge number of customers paying for services of which they weren’t completely satisfied. In 2005, these siblings decided to launch their own cleaning & maintenance company. Their goal was to provide a professional, reliable, and sustainable option to business owners, real estate agents, and property managers in search of a cleaning & maintenance company they could count on to serve their needs.

SYDNEY SAUNDERS, PRESIDENT contact
Sydney brings an enormous amount of leadership to our team. His over 20 years of management experience in the retail market provides Gremac with a solid foundation of customer service excellence. A graduate in Physics and Mathematics at Delgado College in New Orleans, Luisiana, and Sydney’s work experiences, both North and South of the border, have equiped him with management methods that are well-versed. Everywhere SYdney goes, he influences staff, co-workers, and senior management to strive for excellence.

MASIO SAUNDERS, SALES & MARKETING DIRECTOR, VP contact
A founder of Gremac Maintenance, Masio is responsible for establishing and implementing our sales and marketing strategies. His over 10 years of experience in the telecommunications industry and financial industries, along with his over 5 years experience in advertising and promotions provides Gremac with an influential perspective. In addition to coordinating and developing the company’s distributorship and service network, Masio continues to oversee all activities relevant to maximizing the company’s sales targets. He is a graduate of Business Administration at Humber College.

ALEXIS SAUNDERS, HUMAN RESOURCE DIRECTOR, JHSC REP. contact
Also a founder of Gremac Maintenance, Alexis oversee’s the company’s directives in Human Resource Management. Her over 9 years of experience in leading the people aspect of the business has proved most valuable to our company. She brings passion for staff involvement, and a vision of creating a work atmosphere for our staff that is safe, viable, and opportunistic.

MARY EMMA FREES, SITE MANAGER, COMMUNITY INITIATIVES contact
Mary oversees the company’s operational objectives from site-to-site. Her experience as a restaurant manager for over 30 years provides Gremac with a detail-oriented style of work ethic. Her work in the community is well documented, being a part of numerous projects relating to employee empowerment, protecting the rights of employees from various work backgrounds. She has been heavily invlolved in managing objectives of municipal political campaigns, and various organizations that help at-risk youth and adults in inproveraged communities.

SYDNEY SAUNDERS-ROBERTSON, ADMINISTRATOR contact
When Sydney joined our team, she was an immediate perfect fit. She is responsible for the day-to-day administration duties for our company. A Political Science student at Guelph University, she helps Gremac with the task of keeping the ship running smoothly. Her strong work ethic and dedication to the company has been a great help to the company’s goal of customer satisfaction.
